ABOUT
The DFTT loan fund aims to enlarge the pool of appropriately skilled labour available to local businesses in the Energy, Engineering and Construction sectors.
Loans will be provided to individuals living in Pembrokeshire who wish to gain additional skills and industry recognised qualifications that fall outside established funding mechanisms.
A panel of local business people from relevant companies will decide each loan application and loans awarded to will be paid direct to the course provider.
The fund will be replenished by loan repayments and over time it is envisaged that the fund will grow from further industry contributions.

The DFTT loan provides interest free loans to individuals who wish to improve their skill levels within the Energy, Engineering and Construction sectors.
Any individual living in Pembrokeshire can apply, whether in employment or unemployed.
The fund only provides support to attain industry recognised qualifications which fall outside established funding mechanisms. Therefore courses such as work based learning, apprenticeships, NVQ's and further education will not be supported.
Applications for loans between £100 - £2,500 will be considered.
All loans are repayable within 12 months once the training has been completed and the applicant is in work.
Funds are paid directly to the nominated Training Organisation.
